Job Description

To be fully engaged in providing Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by: providing superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service through transports of patients in a timely and safe manner, working as a team member to achieve goals and objectives of the department.

Primary Accountabilities


* Identifies all patients for transport utilizing the two patient identifiers and confirming with patient armband as per hospital policy.

* Confirms completed hand off communication is transported with all patients to all testing and treatment areas.

* Transports all inpatient and observation patients with patient `s chart back, complying with all HIPPA regulations.

* Maintain cleanliness of transport equipment. Cleans each stretcher and wheelchair after each patient transport with hospital approved germicidal product.

* Performs Monitor Tech duties in the process of transport: Monitors and accurately identifies and reports arrhythmias, Initiates process for temporary monitoring and monitoring equipment.

* Proper and professional use of Vocera communication procedures.


Qualifications


* High School Graduate or equivalent

* Successful completion a Basic Dysrhythmia course

* Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare provider completion card.
